Who is behind Hochzeitsuche

Hochzeitsuche is a project of PortalWeb GmbH from Altdorf in the canton of Uri. We are an agency for web design, web development and search engine optimisation and have been building websites for Swiss businesses since 2022. We launched Hochzeitsuche in 2025.

Why Hochzeitsuche exists

Couples getting married in Switzerland usually look for their photographer, venue, cake and music on Google, Instagram and through recommendations. The directories that existed were either aimed at Germany or full of adverts and outdated entries.

We were missing a directory that does three things at once: shows every vendor by canton, gives honest starting prices and lets you get in touch without detours. So we built it.

How we work

  • Every listing is checked by hand. Before a vendor appears, someone from our team checks that the business exists, that the website, address and phone number are correct and that the photos match what they offer. Anything that does not fit is not published.
  • Enquiries go straight to the vendor. We do not sit in between, we do not sell contacts and couples pay nothing. The directory is funded by the vendors, who manage their own listings.
  • We write our guides ourselves. Prices, procedures and traditions are researched for Switzerland, in Swiss francs, from the civil registry office to the apéro. Where we quote prices from the listings, they change along with them.

How we check a listing

  1. The business: does the company exist? Commercial register, website, social media profiles.
  2. Contact details: are the address, phone number and email correct? We test them.
  3. The offer: do the photos, texts and prices match what the business really does?
  4. Approval: only then does the listing go online. We check every later change again.

About the English version

Hochzeitsuche was written in German, and the vendor profiles are translated from German. Most vendors are based in German-speaking Switzerland. Write your enquiry in English — each vendor will tell you whether they can work with you in English.
