What does wedding music cost in Switzerland?
Starting prices on Hochzeitsuche range from CHF 400 to CHF 3'500; the median is CHF 1'250. As a guide: a soloist or duo for the ceremony and apéro costs CHF 500 to 1'200, a DJ for the evening CHF 900 to 2'000 and a band with four to six musicians CHF 2'500 to 6'000. Travel, equipment, overtime after midnight and a second performance on the same day come on top.
Which music for which moment?
- Ceremony: entrance, exchange of rings, exit. Usually vocals with guitar or piano, three to five pieces.
- Apéro: background music, quiet enough for conversation. A duo, a jazz trio or a playlist.
