Starting prices on Hochzeitsuche range from CHF 100 to CHF 5 600; the median is CHF 800. The starting price usually applies to an initial meeting, an hour of advice or coordination on the wedding day. As a rough guide for Switzerland: on-the-day coordination CHF 1 500 to 3 000, partial planning CHF 3 000 to 6 000, full planning CHF 8 000 to 15 000 or 10 to 15 percent of the wedding budget. Hourly rates are CHF 120 to 180.

• Full planning: concept, budget, all vendors, schedule and running the day. For couples with little time or a wedding far from where they live — including couples planning from abroad.
• Partial planning: you have the venue and the date; the planner takes care of the rest or of individual areas such as decoration and the running order.
• On-the-day coordination: you plan yourselves, and on the day someone coordinates the vendors, the schedule and any emergencies. The most booked option.
• Consultation: individual hours for the budget, the running order or choosing vendors.

Ask for reference weddings of a similar size, about the planner's network of vendors in your canton and whether commissions from vendors are disclosed. A good planner works with a written list of services and an emergency plan for the day.
