What does your wedding package include?

An initial consultation, tips for the whole celebration, photographic coverage of your wedding according to the package you choose (with full-day coverage I’m there for up to 16 hours, so I can capture everything – from getting ready to the lively party), an unlimited number of photos, digital files on a USB stick, a beautifully designed 9-page mini booklet with the highlights, a password-protected online gallery, and discounts on a photo shoot for your invitation card, on the after-wedding shoot or on an album. How far in advance should we contact you?

As I can only photograph one wedding a day, booking early is recommended. If you’re lucky, I may still be free on your date at short notice. I look forward to your enquiry.

No, I only ever cover one single wedding a day, so that I can focus entirely on that one couple and capture every moment perfectly.

Do you take bookings outside your area?

Absolutely. I don’t only work in Thurgau, around Lake Constance and in the neighbouring cantons of Schaffhausen, St. Gallen, Appenzell or Zurich – I photograph throughout Switzerland and abroad too. For example, I have already photographed weddings in Prague and Dresden.

What is the travel surcharge?

Travel within Switzerland and the Lake Constance region is free of charge – I don’t charge mileage and there are no hidden costs with me. However, for coverage of more than 10 hours and very long journeys (over 1.5 hours), I need an overnight hotel stay, as I devote all my energy to the wedding. For weddings in other parts of Europe and worldwide, I charge travel costs (flights, train, hotel) at cost price. For longer trips, I’m happy to put together a fair flat-rate offer.

Do you use special or innovative techniques?

It’s important to me to capture the unposed moments of a wedding – of the couple just as much as of the guests. That’s why I move constantly among the guests, dressed for the occasion myself, so I can capture those unique moments almost unnoticed. I work with the available light, but I also make skilful use of subtle flash to brighten distracting shadows, to be able to shoot in dark buildings and at night, and to put a sparkle in people’s eyes.

What equipment do you use?

I shoot with professional Nikon cameras, fast lenses in various focal lengths, several backup bodies, a small on-camera flash and a DJI drone.

Do you have a way to share the photos online?

If you wish, you’ll receive a password-protected online gallery for viewing the photos.

How long does it take to deliver the finished product?

You’ll normally receive the photos on the USB stick and your mini wedding booklet by post 2-4 weeks after the wedding. On request, a small preview 48 hours after the wedding or faster delivery is also possible.

Do you deliver all original photos?

I go through all the photos, optimise their colour and brightness, and edit many of them as well. The photos are available in colour, vintage, black and white or sepia. I don’t hand over unedited RAW files. As there’s no limit on the number of photos, couples often receive between 1500-2500 photos for a full-day wedding.

Do you work alone or with a team of professionals?

I usually work alone, as this keeps me extremely flexible and lets me move among the guests unnoticed. On request, a second photographer or a videographer is also possible.

Do you have staff to step in if needed?

I have a network of photographers.

Do you keep all publication rights to the wedding photos?

You receive unrestricted usage rights for your private purposes, and you’re of course welcome to pass the images on to your friends and relatives.

Do you charge by the hour or a flat rate per event?

I offer flat rates, so you know exactly what it costs and don’t need to worry about it. Individual hourly packages are also possible for small celebrations or photo shoots.

This is set out openly in the quote, because at a wedding the schedule doesn’t always go perfectly to plan – so I’m flexible and can easily stay longer.

I have a real gift for moving among people almost unnoticed. This lets me capture the genuine, unposed moments perfectly. But of course, for the couple portraits and group shots I also give professional and creative direction, so that you get stunning, unforgettable photos.

Which regions do you cover?

I can be booked throughout Switzerland and worldwide. Naturally, I know the Untersee, Lake Constance and Rhine region especially well, as well as the cantons of Thurgau, Schaffhausen, St. Gallen and Zurich. But I also love photographing in the mountains and have already photographed numerous weddings in Appenzell, Toggenburg, Graubünden and Central Switzerland.

How does payment work?

A deposit is due on booking; the balance is then paid by bank transfer after the wedding, when the photos are handed over.
